Esther Casas Roura is renowned for her versatility as a filmmaker, skillfully combining metaphorical storytelling with animation to create a distinctive cinematic style.

After transitioning from a career in cancer research in Spain, she found her true calling in art and filmmaking. Esther honed her craft in computer animation and visual effects at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, establishing herself as a talented writer, animation director, and producer. Proficient in stop-motion, traditional animation, and motion graphics, Esther leads teams with a focus on collaboration and creativity.

As the founder of Claymaniak studios and the more recent ECR Films, Esther is dedicated to captivating audiences with compelling narratives through animation. She has directed three acclaimed short, animated films, including her debut "Check Date, an underdog love story," which premiered at prestigious events like the Chicago International Film Festival and the San Francisco International Children's Film Festival. In 2009, she joined Charged Studios and directed "Creamen," which received numerous international awards and was featured at over 100 festivals, including renowned events like the Short Shorts Film Festival, Animayo, and the Festival de cine español Málaga. Esther's latest project, "FLOCKY," is an animated allegory in 2D animation.
